Chelsea pay Tribute to Blue Legend David Sexton

Chelsea Football Club are expressing their enormous sadness and sending out deepest condolences to the family and friends of Late Dave Sexton, who has died at the age of 82 few days ago. A minute silence was observe by the Club during last weekend's match against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Yesterday's game against Fulham was also in memory of the club's greatest manager but unfortunately, both matches ended in a goalless draw.
Sexton enjoyed a superb spell as Blues manager in the Seventies, becoming the first man to lead the club to FA Cup glory after a memorable tussle with Leeds United in 1970, while he was also the manager when the club tasted glory in Europe for the first time as they incredibly saw off Real Madrid.

"He was fantastic and I've got nothing but praise for him," said Peter Bonetti, who was between the sticks for both of those triumphs. "Everybody at Chelsea loved and respected him, and he will go down in the club's history as being such a fantastic guy who brought us so much success." As well as having a huge impact on his players,

Sexton also played a massive part in Pat Nevin's football upbringing thanks to his side's aesthetically pleasing style. Adieu David Sexton and RIP. You can also leave your tribute for one of the club's greatest managers through the comment box below.
