Spanish giants plot swoop for Chelsea star

Ashley Cole is out of contract and could be leaving Chelsea in January. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is already planning to swoop the Chelsea left-back to Madrid in January transfer. Ashley Cole arrived Stamford Bridge from Arsenal in 2006 and since then, he had featured in more than 200 games for the club.

However, it is understood that, Ashley Cole 30, has refused to accept only one year contract deal from Chelsea and that means he will certainly leave in January. French side PSG has also disclosed their interest in signing Ashley Cole and the French outfit are ready to offer him a bumper deal to reunite him with another former Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

According to TalkSPORT, however, reports in Spain claim Real Madrid boss Mourinho also wants Cole at the Santiago Bernabeu and it is said the La Liga champions could be ready to splash a £7 million move for the player when the next transfer window opens in January. Chelsea are ready to make Ryan Bertrand their first choice left-back if they lose Cole in January.

That is why the club offered him a five-year contract extension. Cole is now left with an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge currently thought he is been loyal, playing his best when called upon to play.
