Daniel Sturridge |
Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly
considering a move for the striker in the January transfer window. According to
reports from Anfield, the loan deal is expected to include an option to make
the transfer permanent should the 23-year-old player impress the club.
Which means
Sturridge will have to go to Liverpool on loan
first before they could finally sign him permanently subject to his
performances.
With the Blues value of 15million euros for their striker, Liverpool manager Rogers Brendan said he will be willing
to spend much for Sturridge only if the striker fits the Red’s style of play. Rogers is looking for an
option upfront to cover for Fabio Borini (who is already out for a broken foot)
and provide competition for Luiz Suarez.
Daniel Sturridge has only 18 months
left on his current contract with the club and it is unlikely that he will be
considering a contract extension. So Roberto Di Matteo may be willing to
consider any negotiation for the player seems the club are planning to bring in
another striker to compete with Torres in January.
