We quoted Chelsea's Victor Moses in an interview saying he believe he will one day play for the Spanish club Barcelona if he continue working hard. The former Wigan Athletic winger joined Chelsea this summer for £9million and made his first appearances for the Blues on Saturday as they tied to a goalless draw with Queen Park Rangers.
The former England Under 21 and Nigerian Super eagles star was delighted for been part of a club of the pedigree of European Champions Chelsea having escaped to England as a child from riots in his homeland in which his parents were killed.
In an interview, he had explained his sad journey so far from tragedy to limelight, how he started at Crystal Palace before moving to Wigan and then Chelsea this summer. The 21-year-old also thinks his ambitions and hard work could also one day make him play for Spanish giants Barcelona. Just before the Premier League game against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, Moses spoke to the Guardian
"It has been a long journey [from Nigeria] and I just want to keep strong and work hard for myself, whether it's football or not football," he said "I have to thank God for being where I am, it's like a dream come true and, if I keep working hard, who knows, I'll probably end up in Barcelona one day."
Moses was also grateful when he heard about Chelsea's interest in him, whether it was the manager or the chairman who showed interest, albeit Moses was just so grateful to feel wanted by the club he desires, as he said:
"I don't really know if it was Di Matteo or if it was the chairman or whoever but I knew that Chelsea were interested in me and that was it, "For a club to come and get you, they are going to use you at some stage. I know that there are a lot of players at Chelsea but if I do get my chance, I just have to grab
