The role of Chelsea captain John Terry in the club can not be overlooked. Terry has been an integral player of the team ever since despite the fact that he was not part of the squad that eventually won the Champions League against Bayern, but we all knew he was significant in Napoli's comeback that saw Chelsea scale through the next stage.
Terry previously had series of injuries but manage to recover to play for his country's friendly win against Moldova on Friday but unfortunately picked up an injury.
Terry damaged his ankle in the first half and aggravated the problem when he landed awkwardly after the break but still insist to play until he was forced off in the closing minute. Now Terry will miss the clash for the World cup qualifier against Ukraine at Wembly and perhaps miss our trip to Queens Park Rangers in the weekend, as the England Medical staff announced today (Sunday) that,
'John will not be available for the World cup qualifier against Ukraine on Tuesday' A statement on the FA's website confirmed the report.
Fellow team-mate Gary Cahil is likely to replace Terry and partner Joleon Lescott at the center-back. Chelsea has been playing without John Terry in the central defence and i am afraid that it might still continue that way as he is now on injury though no report has confirmed how long it will take for him to fully recover and resume training.
