Chelsea's defensive midfielder Oriol Romeu could definitely be on his way to Bolton on loan very soon. The loan window is still open for clubs outside the Premier League and the last season relegated club wants the former Barcelona player as part of their team.
Romeu has fallen down Di Matteo's pecking order following the arrival of a bunch of talented midfielders at Stamford Bridge which as a result saw the dispersal of other experienced midfielders like Micheal Essien who moved on loan to Real Madrid while the club sold Raul Meireless to Turkish club Fenerbache.
Manager Roberto Di Matteo was left with about four defensive midfielders including Romeu and the Italian man is happy to let the young midfielder leave on loan to Bolton. It has been reported that Bolton has long admired the former Barcelona player and they do have an option to take the Blues player on loan as part of the deal that brought Gary Cahill to Chelsea. The Trotters are outside the Premier League as they were relegated last season, so they are now free to take players on loan from the Premier league so Romeu could be their next target.
