Fellaini and Lukaku switch in January: Could it be possible?

Everton eyes Lukaku as Chelsea move for Fellani in January. Could this be real? Or just another sick speculation. The transfer window might be closed, but the market is still busy going on with negotiations among clubs. Chelsea are desperately in need of a striker, but would want to give Fernando Torres much time to pick up his challenge and start doing his job from now till January. The dispersal of old and experience midfielders to other clubs, leaving only the new young arrivals in control with most of them prone to injuries is also an alarming call for immediate action.

Reports from a Belgian newspaper yesterday reveals a quotes from Marouane Fellani to the Belgian press which says that Fellani had expressed a desire to leave the Merseyside club in January. This comment may  put pressure on David Moyes and the club to arrange for his sale in January, and it seems Chelsea are already lining up a move for the Belgian midfielder. As a reminder, this is what Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad quoted him as saying

"I begin now my fifth season at Everton, this will be one of my last. "I've seen everything. In January or at the end of the season I would look for another club or league."

This statement seems to show a feeling of frustration with the club but no matter what it is, Fellaini has made it purely clear that he wants to leave.

Today there are reports all over in Belgium that Chelsea are already the front-runners for Fellani and that fits in with the reporting in England. It is also said that David Moyes would want Lukaku as a part of any January move for the club if Fellani decides to leave and that the Merseyside had been watching the young forward since before he even signed for Chelsea.

Could there be a possible switch for Fellani and Lukaku in January? Time shall tell. As long as David Moyes made sure he was covered in midfield, and he has made steps to tackle that issue, then gaining Lukaku would be a big achievement in the process of losing Fellani. Lukaku is currently on a season long loan at West Brom and there would need to be a clause allowing Chelsea to recall him if he was to leave Stamford Bridge in January. So till then, lets keep our fingers crossed. :(
