Chelsea will kickoff the
2012/2013 campaign season this Sunday, engaging Manchester city in a community shield tie at
villa part. The European champions will take the premier league title holders in

The community shield cup formerly known as the Charity
shield has been played since the 1908 till date between the League winners and
FA cup winners. Except where the League winner are also the FA cup winners,
then they knock horns with the Carling cup winners. Both teams challenging each
other in the Community Shield Cup has the following records to their name.
Chelsea won the community shield cup in 1995, 2000, 2005 and
2009. And were Runners-up in 1970, 1997, 2006, 2007 and 2010. While Manchester city were the community shield
winners in 1937, 1968, 1972. Runners-up in 1934, 1956, 1969, 1973, 2011. Both
teams are eager to add more trophies to their gallery room.

had given out his warning to Manchester
city to expect stiff competition this season. But all talks will end at Villa Park when both teams knock horns for the trophy.
