Reports discloses that, Fenerbahce are ready to make moves for Micheal Essien. The blues midfielder could leave Chelsea this week. The Turkish side are in Champions League presently and they will host Spartak Moscow on Wednesday in the final qualifying round.
Fenerbahce lost 2-1 in the first leg but they have a good chance of progression. They are highly in need of a central midfielder and would seek the services of the Ghanian star if they eventually qualify.
Essien, who's future at Chelsea looks uncertain, fits the bill and could be set for a Stamford Bridge exit. Injuries have really dealt with the Ghanaian in recent seasons and he has yet to feature for Roberto Di Matteo 's side as the season kicks-off. The 29-year-old veteran made just 14 appearances in the league last season and Fenerbache hope to offer Essien a route back to regular first team football, providing he is fit enough. But the club is willing to wait until the outcome of their Champions League decider before pressing ahead with a move for Essien.
