Cesar Azpilicueta Blame Players for Di Matteo Sacking

Chelsea right defender says players were to blame for the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo. The 23-year-old right back who signed for Chelsea last summer, believes that, it was the players poor performances that was the problem and not the management of Di Matteo.
The Italian was sacked just 6 months after winning the Champions League for the first time in Chelsea's history and also won the FA cup with the club. "We have the most responsibility on the pitch, because the players play," Azpilicueta said.
"We sometimes made the wrong decisions and the wrong pass. We did the kind of thing that the manager could not do anything to correct. So it is true we had responsibility. "It is true that we are in a period where it is not easy, but the season is long, it is important to be on top in the end. It is a kind of period we must pass the best as we can."
