Di Matteo spotted in Italy watching Juventus match

After a sad humiliating 4-1 loss to Athletico Madrid in Monaco on Friday, Chelsea manager is keen to focus and prepare fully for the Champions league matches ahead. In Italy yesterday, Di Matteo was spotted watching Juventus league match in the stands against Udinese as he intends keeping an eye on his Champions League opponents.

The Italian giant and the blues are both drawn in the same group E together with Shakhtar Donetsk and Nordsjelland, but Juventus is seems to be the stronger team in concern here. At least two points from Juve in both legs would guarantee Chelsea a place in the next round if they take good care of the other two teams.

Di Matteo's aim is to possibly scout the Bianconeri in other to see if there are any Achilles's heel to take advantage of. The Blues were out played by Athletico Madrid in the Super Cup finals conceding 3 goals in the first half which stands as a lesson for poor preparation from the London side. This doesn't speak good of a Champions league holders and current contenders participating in the Champions league again.
