The transfer window might be closed in England, but to some other countries like France, Russia and Turkey, it seems to be open which means players can still leave the Premier League to such countries. Earlier today, the Turkish press reported that Chelsea and Fenerbache have agreed on an 8 million euros fee for Raul Meireles after an intense negotiations and Haber 7 says that would allow the Portuguese midfielder to move to Turkey as early as today.
Suddenly Essien joins Madrid on loan and now Fenerbache snatch Raul instead. Italian side Napoli were the first club to show interest in Meireles this summer but the deal failed to materialize as the transfer window in Italy is now closed. His contract with Chelsea is remaining three years but apparently, the club is happy to sell the Portuguese player for just eight million euros to reduce their expenses in wages.
