Chelsea midfielder Raul
Meireles want a move to Italian club Napoli.
According to daily mail report, the Serie A side
has demanded to pay 8 Million euros for the midfielder. Meireles only came to Stamford Bride a year ago from Liverpool on a transfer just 12
month after he arrived from Porto. The 29 year-old midfielder has made only 45 appearances for the Champions League winners
and scored six goals all together.
Meireles was a substitute for Ramires in the FA cup victory against Liverpool but did not
feature in the Champions League victory against Bayern Munich because he was suspended
having two yellow cards in the previous matches. The Portuguese International made debut for his
country in 2006 with more than 60 caps to his name. He was also part of the Portuguese
squad in this summer’s Euro 2012 competition.
