Oscar hopes to convince Neymar to join Chelsea

Chelsea new signing and young Brazilian talent Oscar Santos has been trying his best to convince Neymar to join him in London. Neymar who is considered as one of the finest talent to emerge from South America since Lionel Messi in Brazil's Olympic squad this summer, has been on the radar of both Real Madrid and Barcelona wanting to sign him last season. But he decided to remain at Santos.

Oscar is playing alongside Neymar at the Olympics and both players are doing very well and they seems to understand each other perfectly in the Brazilian squad. Oscar the 20-year-old star has revealed he has been trying to convince his fellow team mate and Santos forward to choose Chelsea when he eventually makes his decision to move to Europe. "While we are in London, I have been telling Neymar about the ambition of Chelsea. When the time comes for him to join an European club, I hope I can persuade him," Oscar told The People.

Oscar joined the Blues for an amount worth £25million from Internacional this summer and he claims he had no hesitation in joining the West London side when he was told about their interest. "When my agent told me that Chelsea were interested, it was not something I even needed to think about," he said. "They are the champions of Europe, but they are still showing so much ambition by improving the squad. "To win the European Cup and still sign guys like myself and Eden Hazard shows you the ambition the owner and manager have. "With the squad we have, I will be looking at winning the Premier League title and also the Champions League.

"I know it is very difficult to win it twice in a row and even Barcelona could not do it, but with what Chelsea have in place it is very possible." The Brazilian midfielder is now hoping to win their first Olympic gold medal in London as they beat Honduras 3-2 in the second round to face South Korea in the semi-finals on Tuesday. "To win an Olympic gold would be very special for me," he added. "The Brazilian Football Confederation have told us that they don't expect anything less than gold - and that is what we are going to deliver."

Brazil has won all International competitions but are yet to win the Olympic gold in football. The last time they were into finals was at Atlanta '96 in USA, which they lost to Nigeria 4-3.
