Chelsea may end up not signing the Wigan striker Victor Moses even though Wigan has clear the way for Moses to join Chelsea. The 21 year old strike has been a subject of intense transfer
speculation this summer as we all heard the reigning European Champions wants
to sign him but unfortunately, Chelsea are been too reluctant on the striker.
Some English media had reported that the deal between Chelsea and Wigan to sign the Nigerian striker had already been stuck but Whelan says that’s not the case. “Chelsea have not been straight forward as far as this case is concerned. They have been messing around with Moses and that isn’t the best,” Whelan says. The Chairman insist that Moses will not be sold if Chelsea fails to meet their demands. “If they fail to pay what we believe is right for Moses, we will not sell him. He will stay with us this season,” he stated.
Chelsea had had three of their bid for Victor Moses turn down with Wigan holding out for 10 million euros for the power striker. To my opinion, Chelsea are not getting it right here, Moses will be a good signing for the club and I still see no reason why Chelsea would hesitate to sign such a talent for just only 10 million euros if they can sign Oscar, Eden Hazard for more than 20 million euros respectively.
What is the essence of signing too many players and giving them out on loan for future development when the present situation is not yet solved? Chelsea needs a second Drogba if they really want to compete for trophies this season. They need a powerful strike, strong and fast. Only Victor Moses, Edison Cavani and Hulk can fill that empty hole. We all saw the team’s flop at the pre-season tour matches in USA and the Community shield cup tie against Manchester city. Chelsea is still yet to sign a right back
