Will Chelsea swap Courtois for Falcao?

It has been all over the news that Chelsea in their effort to sign Radamel Falcao next summer, could offer goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in a swapping deal to Athletico Madrid. The Chelsea loanee keeper to Athletico Madrid who has recently been linked to Barcelona as a future replacement for Victor Valdez, has said that he does not believe he will be used as a makeweight in the club's efforts to sign Radamel Falcao.

The Belgian shotstopper has previously stated that, he sees himself as a long term replacement for Petr Cech and Turn Bull. Especially now that the latter's recent form is very poor.

Falcao currently is said to cost about £45m for Chelsea but offering their loan aspiring goalkeeper as part of the deal could reduce the price tag close to £15m in valuation.

Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Courtois does not think he could be included as part of any deal to sign the world prolific scorer. "I do not think that Chelsea want to sell me from what I hear," Courtois told Belgian TV station Sporza .

"Maybe it is true, maybe it is not. I did not expect to reach this level of performance."
