Chelsea Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun who was loaned out to West Ham United last season has just return to Stamford Bridge. The former Liverpool players who latter joined Chelsea is yet to play for the Blues since August 2011 but came on the bench in Chelsea's 2-2 FA cup draw at Brentford.
The 32-year-old looks to return back to the club's first team squad as Rafa Benitez is left with only few players to supplement a squad stretched by a hectic fixture ahead of him. It seems Roman Abramovich is not willing to cash in on any player again leaving Benitez to work with the little players he have at hand.
This means old players like Yossi Benayoun, Paulo Ferreira would both be available for the first team except Florent Malouda who has been left out to train with the youth team.
Meanwhile, Benitez says he could feature the winger at Reading's Madjeski Stadium today.
"Benayoun is part of the team and is training with the squad", "He was on loan but has come back. He had an injury and has been working with the physios but you could see the other day he was available in the FA cup and he will be available again tomorrow (tonight against Reading). Benitez said.
"We have Hazard and Moses out and Lucas Piason is a young player who was playing in the same position as Oscar and Mata. Yossi can play in the wide areas so he can help and i know about his game intelligence. "No doubt, he can give us something"
