The Spaniard swept home in the 83rd-minute to restore parity and secure a replay for Chelsea, who already missed out on one Wembley appearance after losing over two legs to Swansea City in the Capital One (League) Cup semi-finals.
Chelsea, who have lifted the trophy in four of the last six seasons, were second-best throughout the first half and went behind just before halftime when Italian Marcello Trotta opened the scoring. Then Brazilian Oscar equalized with some fine individual skill 10 minutes into the second half but the hosts latter converted a spot-kick in the 73rd minutes from Harry Forresters to take the lead against their London rivals.
But Torres was quick to salvage a late 2-2 draw for the Blues. Now Chelsea will have a replay against Brentfort in the second leg at Stamford Bridge.
