Chelsea finally triggered the release-clause for Newcastle's Demba Ba this afternoon. The West London side are currently planning to bring in a new striker after losing Daniel Sturridge to Liverpool already.
Newcastle have given Chelsea the permission to talk to the 27-year old Senegalese international after meeting the £7million figure stipulated in the deal he signed with the Magpies during the summer of 2011.
