Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to make another gamble by offering Radamel Falcao a staggering £10million per-year contract. This will make the highly rated Colombian striker the club's top earner at Chelsea if he eventually agrees to turn Blue in January even if Torres can't stop scoring.
The Colombia forward is the club's No 1 transfer target and Roman is determined to ensure the prolific South American becomes the next global superstar to make his way to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are offering the 26-year-old a deal worth in the region of £200,000-per-week, to lure him to London.
The pay package would eclipse the club's current top earner Fernando Torres, who is understood to earn £175,000-per-week. The staggering salary underlines how serious the current Champions League holders are about signing Falcao, who is viewed as the hottest property in world football today.
