Di Matteo was unfortunately fired early today after losing 3-0 to Juventus yesterday night which makes the chance for Chelsea advancing into the Champions League knockout stage on a slim balance. Chelsea will have to win their next home match with a large goal margin and hope that Shakhtar win Juventus in other to qualify for the next stage.
Now Chelsea are searching for a new boss but after reaching their top target Pep Guardiola, the former Barcelona manager decided against moving to Stamford Bridge before the end of the season.
It is understood that the Spaniard has informed the Russian billionaire that he intends to see out the rest of his year's sabbatical in New York according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague. So Pep will only accept Chelsea job at the end of his holiday.
