Why would Spanish coach Del Bosque leave out Mata in his squad

Chelsea in-form midfielder Juan Mata has been omitted from Spanish squad to face Belarus and France so coach Del Bosque said. Juan Mata has been the pillar to our success currently in the Champions league and domestic league, winning Goal.com man of the match for three consecutive times but coach Vicente Del Bosque seems to have his own view.

He explained his reasons why he decides to leave the Chelsea midfield ace out of his squad. The coach admitted that Mata was not in his list simply because there was no room for him. The Furia Roja coach announced his squad for the forthcoming games against Belarus and France on Friday today and was not really comfortable with the omission of Mata.

"We could not find him a place," Del Bosque explained. "We have enough players for the games. We have chosen those that we think are the best to compete in these matches." Alvaro Negredo is also left out of the squad while Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol are unavailable due to injuries.
