Oscar celebrates goal against Juventus |
Oscar said that he is surprised by how quickly he has been able to settle in at Chelsea and he praised his team mates for helping him in the transition.
The attacking midfielder told the Brazilian press that he didn't anticipate such a rapid rise and didn't think he'd have such a start to his Chelsea career. His Champions League debut was highlighted as his greatest start when he scored two goals against Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
"I did not expect it to be so fast. Of course I'm still in a period of adaptation. But Chelsea is a great club with great players. My team mates are helping me a lot in the process."
The 21 year old went on to say that playing with Chelsea has a positive impact on his game and that he's learning new things with the European Champions every time. He thinks he's growing as a player and that moving to the Premier League side can help his international ambitions too.
"I've grown up a lot in recent games because they are teaching me. The team also helped me take the first step in English football. Hopefully everything continues well. Chelsea has added good things for me."
Oscar is currently with the Brazilian national team as they prepare for two matches in Europe which will be held in Sweden and Poland. They are prepared to face Iraq in Malmo tomorrow and next week they will take on Japan in Wroclaw.
