Ashley Cole and Chelsea has agreed to part ways since both parties fails to reach an agreement concerning contract extension. The 31-year-old left-back who scored the only goal for the club against Stoke last week wants at least two years contract deal with salary addition from Chelsea while the owner of the club Roman Abramovich is reluctant to offer long term deals to players above 30 years.
Meanwhile, PSG are planning a free transfer move for the English defender in January and it looks like Cole will appreciate the move as the defender careless about his contract with the club. According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer the left-back a lucrative salary package if they succeeded in signing him on a free transfer. Ashley Cole is in the final year of his contract with the Blues and since both parties could not reach an agreement, the England defender is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any club of his choice in January next year.
The veteran defender was already a transfer target for many clubs last summer but both Real Madrid and PSG are currently rumoured to be interested in Ashley Cole but it looks like Chelsea ex-manager Carlo Ancelotti will succeed in the race. Or will Cole prefer to re-unite with his former boss Jose Mourinho and team mate Essien at Madrid? Lets watch and see how it goes.
