After holding on Victor Moses for so long, Wigan Athletic
have finally given in on the winger move to Stamford Bridge. The West London side had made several bids for the
Nigerian star up to four times but the Latics still insist on their price tag
of 10 million pounds on the winger. Chelsea
made the fifth bid early hours of yesterday which looks like the final bid for the player or they shop
elsewhere, But Roberto Matinez had accepted and given the powerful winger the permission to speak with the blues.
A statement on Wigan’s website last night reveals that, after weeks of negotiations, a deal had been struck for Moses. “The club can confirm that after four unsuccessful bids from Chelsea for Victor Moses, a fifth bid has today finally met the valuation and terms set by Wigan Athletic had been accepted. The player had been given permission to speak with Chelsea.” The 21 year-old player has now been given the permission to speak to Chelsea on his deal.
Chelsea
has already signed Eden Hazard 32million pounds, Oscar 25million, and Marko Marin 7million pound during the transfer window and now
they are on their way to sign Moses. Negotiations are also on the way for
Spanish player Cesar Azpilicueta from Marselle. The 22 year old is expected to
cost Chelsea 7million pounds for an agreed five year deal as a permanent replacement for Jose Bosingwa who had been released earlier this summer. Chelsea are definitely in need of a right back as the
defence is getting too exposed. The arrival of attacking minded midfielders and the
implementation of a new attacking system using the new 4-2-3-1 formation has
really got the defenders exposed Cahil complained.
