Didier Drogba makes a return visit to his former club Chelsea. The Ivorian and former Blues striker wants to seek a training opportunity with the first team squad at Stamford Bridge ahead of his preparation for the upcoming Nations cup competition in January next year. Hopefully before this Christmas, he could be at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Fernando Torres would have no option than to put on a brave face as his former team-mate returns to train with the club again before Christmas. The Shanghai Shenhua striker all the way from China, recently popped back to Stamford Bridge for a visit, and took his time to pose for pictures with old team mates, Fernando Torres, John Mikel Obi and Branislav Ivanovic.
Drogba could temporarily make a return to the Blues because, he is keen to train with a Premier League club during the Chinese off season ahead of the African Cup of Nations in January. Just as Thierry Henry, David Beckham and Robbie Keane did during the MLS break. The 34 year-old Ivorian striker wants to keep himself in good form with Chelsea likely to be his number one target destination.
Personally i don't think allowing Drogba to train with the first team squad is a good idea. He is no longer a team member an he would rather bring confusion to the players concentrations especially now that the team has changed their style of play with Fernando Torres building his confidence back.
