Chelsea players on loan

As the season campaign for Chelsea starts today, not all Chelsea players will be featured in Di Matteo's plans. Some player will be sold out while other players will be on Loan to other clubs pending when the club needs them again. Below are a list of some famous Chelsea players on loan to various club and how they are doing just fine over there.

1. Thibaut Courtois: Born 11/12/1992 in Bree, Belgium was signed by Chelsea as a goalkeeper and transfer to Athletico Madrid since July 2011. Courtois signed a five-year contract with Chelsea from his previous club Racing Genk. His loan deal with the Spanish side will expire at the end of this season campaign. 

2. Matej Delac: Born in Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje. The Croatian goal keeper arrived Chelsea in 1 September 2010 and was immediately loan out to Vitesse Arnhem in Holland. He is 6ft 3in, built well for a goalkeeper and had spend time training with the blues at Cobham in December 2009. He is now loan to Vitoria Guimaraes in the Portuguese to flight. 

3. Sam Walker: A 6ft.6in tall goal keeper sign a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge till 2014. Sam is loan to league two side Bristol Rovers till 2 January 2013. 

4. Tomas Kalas Defender, born in Czech Republic, signed a pre-contract with Chelsea in January 2011. He spent half of the season at his former club, Sigma Olomouc and in August 2011, he signed on loan with Vitesse Arnhem. He will be spending the 2012/13 season at the same club until the summer of 2017. 

5. Rohan Ince: A tall, athletic and a good reader of the game. He is nephew of former Crystal Palace center-back Eric Young. He has been loan to League one club Yeovil Town for the rest of the season 2012/2013. 

6. Ben Gordon: Born in Bradford, West Yorkshire. He was part of the England Under 20s' World Cup campaign in the summer of 2011. He is a reserve team left-back for Chelsea. Having joined the club in July 2007 from Leeds, he is yet to appear for the first team. Shortly before the start of the 2012/13 season, he agreed to join Birmingham City on a six-month loan. 

7. Ulises Davila: Born in Guadalajara in Mexico. The Mexican Under-20 international joined Chelsea from Chivas in his home country in August 2011 and immediately loan to Vitesse in Holland to acclimatise to European football. Davila, who signed a five year contract with Chelsea will be playing the 2012/13 season on loan to Spanish second division team CE Sabadell. He plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward. 

8. Milan Lalkovic joined Chelsea's Under 14 squad when his family moved from Slovakia to England. He is very quick, right footed and plays anywhere accross the front three. He is currently loan to Victoria Guimaraes in Portugal top flight. 

9. Jeffrey Bruma. Bruma made his first team debut for Chelsea as a 17 year old player during 2009/2010. Jeffrey sign a new contract with Chelsea in September 2010 until 2014. He can play either in the center back or right of defence. He is currently on a loan deal with German side Hamburg. 

10. Patrick Van Aanholt: Born in Hertogenbosch, Holland. He is a talented left back who has established himself in the reserve team where he was the third highest appearance maker in 2007/08 with 14+1 games. He joined Coventry City on loan for the first half of 2009/10 season making 20 appearances. Patrick score his first goal for Chelsea against Newcastle in the Carling cup before he join Leicester City on loan for the rest of the season. He sign a new contract with Chelsea in May 2011 and is now currently loaned to Vitesse Arnhem in Holland. 

11. Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku signs for the blues in August 2011. The Belgian player who has been a Chelsea fan since childhood is 6ft 4ins, a strong and versatile striker. Lukaku made his debut for Chelsea against Norwich in late August during the 2011/12 campaign and was impressive with his powerful play and direct running. But unfortunately, chances in the first team have been limited so he agreed to join West Bromwich Albion which he score his first goal for his new club on his debut. 

12. Kelvin De Bryne: A midfielder born in 1991 in Drongen, Belgium. The attacking midfielder has been loan to SV Werder Bremen until 2013
