Why would Andre Villas Baos hit at his former club Chelsea

Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas won't stop hitting at his former club Chelsea. The Tottenham Hotspur manager this time made a comment that his current squad at White Hart Lane are more harmonious than the one he took over at Stamford Bridge last year. The Portuguese has always attacked and criticize his former employers who relief him of his job barely eight months after he was signed in. To me his comments sound so childish and unprofessional.

Speaking to The Sun during Tottenham’s pre-season tour of America, Villas-Boas said: “We have seen the spirit of this group and it is different from what I had last year.” He spoke about the state of the dressing room as some Chelsea big stars are so notorious for the power they wield at the club, a fact backed by the countless managers being sacked as a result of poor performances. He was made the scapegoat for the club’s poor run of form and his plight was only exacerbated by the success enjoyed by his successor Roberto Di Matteo.

The debacle at Chelsea hasn’t reduced his standing profile as he is still regarded as one of Europe’s best young coaches. He has made a lot of purchases in the transfer market including battling with Chelsea to snatch Hulk in other to improve Tottenham’s squad but the ultimate litmus test of his mettle will come at the end of the season when his self assured comments will be matched up against his club’s league position.
