According to former Manchester United mid-fielder Paul Scholes who heaped a lot of praise for Eden Hazard said, the Chelsea talisman can only be considered a world best player if he improves on his proficiency in goal scoring.
The Belgian international is one of the best talent in the world currently but i believe as much as Scholes said that he needs to do more by scoring a lot of goals before he can be a Ballon d'Or contender.
Hazard has been very instrumental for Chelsea this season scoring 13 goals and having 8 assist in 32 appearances for the club and this can not be compared to what Ronaldo and Messi did for their clubs respectively.
But Scholes believes the attacking midfielder need to be selfish and ruthless in front of goal if he really want to compete with the likes of Ronaldo and Messi.
"One thing I do wonder with Hazard is whether he has that hunger to score goals that you see in Ronaldo, Messi and [Luis] Suarez," Scholes told The Independent.
"Those are players who have a ferocious appetite to put the ball in the net. They're unstoppable. Hazard seems to me to be a relatively gentle soul. One who is just as happy skipping past a couple of opponents and putting it on a plate for a team-mate.
"He does that very well, and I have no doubt he will deserve his accolade at the PFA awards. Playing the way he does, under pressure to score goals and make them, is not easy and he has been a big part of Chelsea's success. But in this modern age, if he wishes to challenge the achievements of Messi and Ronaldo then he will have to prove that he can match their relentless desire to score goals."
I think Paul Scholes is absolutely right. I suggest Chelsea should give Hazard a free role in each match or what do you think?
