After the Super cup saga in Monaco last month, which Falcao recorded a dramatic display scoring a hat-trick against that club that defended massively against Barcelona in April, the Colombian striker had expressed his likes for the Champions of Europe and the West London club had certainly agreed with the talented player but our question now is what will become of Torres if Chelsea eventually sign Falcao in January?
What if a condition to sell Falcao to Chelsea was if Atletico Madrid demanded Fernando Torres in part-exchange? is it a good deal Chelsea should go for?

Torres started his football career at the age of 17 playing for Athletico Madrid. El Nino was the captain of the club which he supported right from childhood and scored more than 90 goals before Liverpool snatch him in 2007. From Liverpool, the Spaniard join Chelsea for an agreed staggering amount of £50 million and since then, Torres is yet to find his best form and now he is under pressure with the condition that if he fails to perform well until January, he will lose his chance.
It has also been reported that, Chelsea made a £35 million bid for Falcao and he could be on his way straight to the Bridge if the deal materialized. Athletico Madrid currently have no choice to retain Falcao because of their financial debts which has been threatened by UEFA that they stand to loss their prize money as a result of their debts.
Falcao is 26 and would want to play for an elite team, who are in the Champions League year in year out and it looks like Chelsea is the right club he wants. The blues has been in the Champions League since 2003 till date. Despite their sixth placed league finish last year, the blue are still qualified to play as the defending Champions. However selling Falcao could be a quick alternative to fix their financial problems, but what they can't do is to go and spend the whole windfall on a replacement, as they did when they sold Aguero to Manchester city. Their best option may well be to do what we have been thinking, bring back Fernando Torres in part-exchange.
So now the question is What if Madrid demanded this as condition of sale? Should Chelsea accept or reject?
To my opinion, i think that should be the best deal so far. It will reduce both teams financial expenses. Fernando Torres is 28 and has dropped form so his price will not be much if Chelsea decides to sell. But trading him to his former club in part-exchange for Falcao will also means that, Chelsea will have to spend less of the £35million price tag for the Colombian talisman. Torres still have a bright future but it seems he cannot just jell with the club at the moment. At Athletico Madrid, he will feel at home again, the El Nino he was once called, he will also be more comfortable to appease his fans.
Otherwise, bringing in Falcao and allowing Torres to stay could possibly undermine and throw him back into the shadow of a player he was when competing with Didier Drogba. So i think the deal should be good for Chelsea in the respect that they themselves would save cash after spending huge last summer. If you were Abramovich and Atletico said the only way they would sell you Falcao was to take Torres back? What would you do? Accept or walk away?
