According to Espn.co.uk, Chelsea is now very close to signing
Victor Moses from Wigan. The blues are looking
to tie up the deal before the Community Shield Cup this Sunday. Espn discloses
that, Chelsea
chief executive Ron Gourlay contacted Wigan Athletic Chairman Dave Whelan on
Monday in other to conclude the deal finally.
Wigan has rejected the bluesprize offer
two times previously but however, it appears that the 21 year old Nigerian will
end up at Stamford Bridge because Chelsea
has now agreed to pay the sum of 8.5 million euros for the striker after much
negotiation. It is very obvious that the former England U-21 who now plays for
Super Eagles of Nigeria at senior level wants to join Chelsea.
While losing Moses to Chelsea
will be a major blow to Wigan team, Whelan
confessed that he won't stand in the players way if he decides to leave to any
club of his choice provided an agreement has been met and their asking price
accepted by the bidding club.
