Maicon on target for Chelsea

Chelsea is planning to reiterate their interest for Brazilian full back Maicon. According to skysports reports that, the Inter Milan experience defender has been linked with a move to Stamford bridge. Inter Milan have hinted they could sell the the right back to the European Champions Chelsea if there is need to. 

The Lancashire club has been looking for a right-full back since the departure of Portuguese star Jose Bosingwa to Queens Park Rangers, they have made several bid for Spanish player Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille too, which is still yet to be concluded. The right-back position and one more strikers seem to be the only position Chelsea need to find a replacement before the transfer windows close.

Branislav Ivanovic has mainly been used as a right-back in the team squad since Jose Bosingwa left but the Serbian is well known to prefer playing in the center defence. Maicon will be out of contract next season at Inter so the club will prefer to sell him now at any price rather than risk losing him on a free transfer. Manager Di Matteo has strongly been looking for a new right-back before the transfer window wraps up so Maicon could be a great signing if the reports materialized.
