London 2012: Daniel Sturridge scores winner for GB against Uruguay

Chelsea Striker Daniel Sturridge was featured in team Great Britain's last group match played against Uruguay the Luiz Suarez side yesterday. It was a difficult encounter which saw both teams matching to a goalless draw but fortunately, Sturridge the Chelsea forward netted the only goal from close range inside the Uruguay box to give GB a deserving victory at the Millenium Stadium and a place in the knock-out stage.

The win has set up a last-eight meeting with the republic of Korea in Cardiff on Saturday evening. Sturridge has now scored two goals in two games. Previously Daniel Sturridge was admitted at the hospital for being ill, he doubted his fitness for this game but big thanks to his efforts and confidence that sees his team go through the next stage of the tournament.
