Chelsea defeated in a friendly match played today with Championship outfit Brighton at the Amex Stadium. The Blues took control of the game after Frank Lampard opens the score sheet but Brighton gallantly fought back from behind to claim victory at last. Lampard scored in the 34th minutes receiving a nice workout play from Ramires and Torres whose clever dummy made the ball ran perfectly to the England midfielder and he sent Thomasz Kuszczak the wrong way.
But unfortunately, goals from Vicente, Ashley Barnes and Andrew Crofts gave the Championship outfit an impressive victory. David Luiz, Eden Hazard, Cole, Micheal Essien, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, Raul Meireles, Cech and Turn Bull all featured in the game. Are the boys really ready to start the season? very poor defensive play especially from the holding role Meireless played today.
