Chelsea 4-2 Reading: Hazard shines again as Torres scored his first EPL goal

Di Matteo’s men nearly suffers their first Premier league defeat at home but they roared back to knock down newly promoted club Reading 4-2. Eden Hazard was superb again on the pitch as Fernando Torres found the net to mark his first EPL goal for the season. A match which seems to be Blues first home defeat as the visitors took the lead in the 29’ min from D. Guthrie blast which Petr Cech fumbled with, was over turned to a moment of joy for the fans.

Frank Lampard opened the scoring in the first half 18’min from a penalty spot and Hazard was the sole contributor. Reading latter equalize shortly in the 25’min from Pavel Pogrebnyak thunderous header before Guthrie gave them the lead.

In the 69’min, Gary Cahil shoot from a 35 yard distance to equalize for the home side before Fernando Torres scored the decisive winner goal on the 81’min when AshleyCole darted on to a pass inside the box and squared for Torres who dash ahead the resolute Reading backline to tap into an empty net. Branislav Ivanovic step up to iced the cake from a Hazard gifted pass in the dying minute to make it four for Chelsea. 

Oscar also featured in the match but the Brazilian would need some time to get accustom with the squad. Having played just two games with the team coming from bench.
