Roberto Di Matteo Might Consider Dropping Fernando Torres for Juve clash in Turin

After a heated bust-up argument in the club's dressing Room following the Blues loss to West Brom, Chelsea boss could consider dropping Fernando Torres for today's Champions League encounter against Juventus in Turin. Both teams will be fighting for a place in the next round of the most prestigious tournament in Europe hence, the club could not afford to gamble Torres in this match again seems he is yet
to find his perfect form.

The Italian giant are one point behind Chelsea and they have the advantage of playing at hope. Meanwhile, Chelsea's hope of progressing still hangs on the balance but they will nevertheless need only a draw as a life line. This is a crucial trip to Turin, and the club can not afford to see Torres misfiring and wasting golden chances. Torres has managed just 11 league goals since joining Chelsea for £50m from Liverpool in January 2011, four of which have come the season.

It is understood that boss Di Matteo is growing increasingly frustrated with the 28-year- old and could start Daniel Sturridge up front for the trip to Turin. The Blues manager has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks, dropping points in each of their last four Premier League games.

A heated debate was heard coming from the dressing room after the defeat to West Brom, with Petr Cech audibly annoyed at his team's defensive errors.
"That's f***ing rubbish and you know it," was yelled at the peak of the matter by one player. Chelsea's place in the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League is also far from assured.

The Blues and Shakhtar Donetsk both lead Group E with 7 points, but Juventus are far from out of the running as they are just a point behind with two games remaining. Chelsea's future to qualify for the next round therefore depends on a good result in Turin otherwise Roberto Di Matteo's job will be in danger.

As a result, the Blues manager confirmed that he would consider dropping Fernando Torres when asked.
"I think we will have to assess the whole team and see how everybody is, and how they have recovered. "A lot of players have only come back [from international duty] yesterday or maybe Thursday afternoon from
everywhere, from Europe and the rest of the world. "We will assess them and see what the right selection is for Tuesday. [But] if I believe it is the right thing to do for the team, then yeah." the manager said.
