Micheal Essien vows to fight for Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Micheal Essien has determine to fight for a place in Chelsea's squad this season. The 29-year-old Ghanian has insisted that his future lies with Chelsea and he will not be thinking of any move to another club but rather remain at Stamford Bridge and battle for a place in the first team squad.

Micheal Essien has been troubled with frequent injuries since 2008 which has left him out of the first team but now that he has returned to fitness, Essien vow to stay with Chelsea and propel himself in to the Clubs regular first team. "My intention is to stay and I'm looking forward to a new season," Essien told Telegraph. "i still have two more years left. I'm still around. "i feel now that i am coming back to what i used to be. Its been a long road but i am almost there."
