Hazard and Torres trill Chelsea to victory as they beat Newcastle 2-0

Chelsea played their third Premier League campaign match against Newcastle today as they trash the Toons 2-0. The Blues are still maintaining a 100% record as they have played and won all 3 games. Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres were the players who did the havoc against the side that knocked Chelsea out of the top 4 position on the league table last season. The attacking pair scored a goal each, with Hazard giving the Blues the lead from a penalty spot in the 22nd' min of the game after Torres had been fouled by Vurnon Anita in the penalty box.

The Spaniard then found the top corner from 18 yards with a shot struck sweetly with the outside of his boot after his new team-mate had laid the ball off with a neat back-heel pass. Newcastle looked to come into the game in the second half but the blues cover all chances and avoid any mistakes, giving the Toons a huge task to carry. Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse did their best and played like wounded Lions but couldn't reverse the goal deficit. The duo were a dangerous pair even when feeding off scraps and Cisse moved on to test Cech's concentration with a snap-shot towards the end of the half.

Roberto Di Matteo's side is now sitting comfortably on top of the Premier League table. Chelsea started the game without two of their most experienced players, as defender and captain John Terry was ruled out due to a neck injury and Frank Lampard left on the bench. Gary Cahill and David Luiz were partnered at centre-back, with Raul Meireles alongside John Obi Mikel in the defensive midfield. New signings Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses were all introduced in the team but did not feature in the match victory at Stamford Bridge. Newcastle are the only side that succeeded in winning Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 2012, a mark even Barcelona failed to achieve.

Having defeating Chelsea with a stunning two goals from Papiss Cisse. The European Champions will travel to Monaco on Friday to play Atletico Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup with the confidence that their domestic challenge will be formidable.
